SG Batman - BANGR
SG Batman & I were introduced in college when I became close friends with his video director, B Shoota. Shoota and I would make videos for SG Batman back in the day, and they both have grown so much over the last few years — SG putting in major work and growing steadily as a rapper & influencer, and Shoota focusing on building his ‘Live from the Hive’ platform to elevate local Chicago artists. Seeing your friends thrive and excel when they apply themselves is the best feeling!
We really focused on making a fun, run & gun type edit for this one. I had a chance to work on this while traveling across Europe, and spent many hours on the speed train cranking out FX and different overlays to match the vibe of the song (don’t play this in front of your kids). The ‘Linked After Effects Comp’ feature in Premiere was huge for this one, majorly cutting down render times while I was on the go.
