A short multi-genre film about a struggling actor must overcome his nerves and hallucinations in order to ask a woman out on his last day of work. This was one of my first big narrative projects as an editor that wasn’t school-realted, (I was still studying @ Columbia College while working on this) and huge shoutout to the wonderful Zanah Thirus for connecting me with the director, Patrick Montalvo. This project was especially cool for me as a fresh new editor because it was shot on the iconic Cinespace Chicago lot, and I got to visit the set one day for some on-site work. It was one of those first times being on a large set - 30+ people - and seeing how the magic happens. And eating from the first legit craftie table ever… something you never forget!
Bit of a random fact, but this film features Mario’s Table — a classic Italian restaurant in Chicago. I love it there.
